Wattbike partnership revives indoor cycling at Third Space

Wattbike has partnered with Third Space, a chain of luxury health clubs based in London, to supply bikes across their entire portfolio.

As part of the deal Wattbike has supplied the chain with a total of 36 bikes, 12 to the Canary Wharf site, seven at Tower Bridge, five at Soho and an additional 12 at the Marylebone site.

The clubs also feature designated Wattbike zones designed to revive Third Space’s indoor cycling offering, which was proving unpopular with club members.

Luke Barnsley, lead trainer at Third Space, says: “We wanted to move away from spin classes where the focus is on the soundtrack. We wanted the main driver of the group cycling to be about performance as our members have become more engaged with their numbers and data. These measures motivate them to work harder to see the more tangible results.”

Colin Waggett, Third Space CEO, says: “We wanted to revitalise our group cycling offering in a big way. We consulted our head trainers and Wattbike came out as top choice. The bikes have a strong history, in both the strength and conditioning sector, and the competitive cycling community.”

Steve Marshall, Wattbike UK Sales Manager, says: “It’s exciting to be a part of revitalising the indoor cycling offering across their portfolio. Demand for performance and data-driven equipment is on the rise, and it’s these numbers that keep people motivated.”
